Samantha (Sam) Adams has been selected as a 2020 Woman Leader in the Law in a special section published by Corporate Counsel and The American Lawyer magazines. Congrats, Sam!

Sam Adams teaching at UNM School of Law

Sam Adams is once again teaching Employment Law at the University of New Mexico School of Law for Spring 2019.  Among the topics covered are prosecuting and defending discrimination and retaliation claims for harassment and disability, collective bargaining agreements, Family and Medical Leave Act issues, mediating employment disputes, and drafting employment agreements, policies and procedures. Former law students of Sam describe her as “a great professor and great attorney,” “very accessible” and one who helps others think about things “logically and comprehensively.”

Sexual Harassment Training in the #MeToo Era

As part of ADAMS+CROW LAW FIRM’s employment law practice, Sam Adams and Alana De Young routinely train both employees and managers on various workplace issues including harassment, discrimination and retaliation. Recently, Sam and Alana have provided several trainings on Sexual Harassment in the #MeToo Era.

Sam Adams first presented on this important topic at the Women’s Bar Association and State Bar Diversity CLE in April 2018 with Ms. Pamelya Herndon, the Executive Director of the Southwest Women’s Law Center. Sam and Pamelya were asked to present again on #MeToo sexual harassment training issues as part of the New Mexico State Bar Annual Meeting on August 10, 2018. Alana De Young was pleased to join Sam to present on the #MeToo movement’s impact on sexual harassment training at the 2018 Employment and Labor Institute on October 5, 2018, a CLE for employment law practitioners throughout New Mexico.
